SumoSprings Solo Front Helper Springs Installation - 2022 Forest River Forester Motorhome- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the SumoSprings Front Helper Springs on a 2022 Forest River Forester. Suspension enhancement is something that a lot of people overlook, but as you're out on the road, especially in a Sprinter, you probably notice they're a little bit top heavy feeling, and sometimes that translates to when you're driving it, it just doesn't feel as planted because it's leaning. And so cutting down on that sway while driving is really gonna just give you a little bit more confidence in your steering, your braking, and just less sway back and forth. So whether it's a gust of wind from a semi or if you're in heavy torrential rain, whatever it may be, feeling more planted and really being connected with the road a little bit more and reducing that body sway is really gonna just make a better overall driving experience every time you use it. And that's the great part about these is once they're installed, there's no maintenance. They're already ready to go, and these are super easy to get in place. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at eTrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the SumoSprings Rear Helper Springs on the 2022 Forest River Forester. Adding suspension enhancements to any sprinter, whether it be an RV or a cargo sprinter, is gonna be a huge upgrade. I've driven a sprinter plenty of times out on the road and it feels very top heavy whether you're turning or just getting side gusts. Either way, there's a lot of sway and if you can minimize that, it's just gonna make for a better driving experience. You're gonna get better feel in the steering wheel, better braking, and just overall a better ride for you and either the people riding with you or the components of your vehicle inside of there. Also, adding some suspension enhancement is going to prolong the lifespan of the suspension that's on there from the factory because it's not allowing it to sag all the way down and kind of at a range where that suspension can't do the work. more

Hi John with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at some rear suspension enhancements. We're talking about SumoSprings. We've installed them on our 2020 Forest River Georgetown GT5. Now the Georgetown is built on Ford's rock solid F53 chassis, and this chassis is used across a variety of platforms. So it can leave you sometimes with either wanting more support or maybe your ride is just a little bit too stiff, and this is where SumoSprings are gonna come in. more

Hi, John with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at one of my favorite upgrades for a Class A coach, and that's gonna be SumoSprings Front Helper Springs and we're installing them today on a 2020 Forest River Georgetown GT5. So this is what the SumoSprings are gonna look like when they're installed on your coach. We're over here on the passenger side. Now they install in place of your factory bump stops here. So you can see the size difference in between them, but more importantly, let's go see them in action on our test course. more

Hi there, Forest River owners. Today, on your 2018 Forest River FR3, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings for the rear axle. And this is what our SumoSpring looks like when it's installed. Our SumoSprings are designed to provide additional support for the weight of your motor home and to also help smooth out the ride quality and reduce sway. It does this by placing our dampener here in between the frame on the bracket here and our axle on the bracket here, sitting on top of the leaf stack. These springs can compress up to 80%, providing you with support throughout the suspension travel. more

Hi there, Forest River owners today in your 2018 forest river FR3, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Sumo Springs for the front axle. And this is what our Sumo Spring looks like when it's installed. This is a split Sumo Spring, so, you get unlimited suspension travel that's important for our front axle here 'cause our front axle's kind of our leading axle. It's gonna be what hits all the potholes and stuff first and that axle needs to be able to dip down and come back up without pulling our motor home down with it, so, that's why we need it to be split. It gives us an improved ride quality over what we had before by helping to support some of the weight of the vehicle. In addition to our regular suspension. more

And this is what our SumoSprings look like when they're installed. They attach our frame at one side, and on the other bracket, attaches to our leaf spring. And it works with our existing suspension system to help provide additional support. One of the things that I really like about the SumoSprings is that you have constant contact all the time. more

Because when we're going down the highway, let's face it, there's a lot of area here for that wind to catch and we end up getting pushed around. So we end up fighting the steering wheel, trying to stay in our lane, or if we're going down some bumpy roads, we end up getting jostled around. By the time we get where we're going, we're extremely tired. Not to mention, everybody in the back's getting tossed around. more

Because when we're going down the highway, let's face it, there's a lot of area here for that wind to catch, and we ended up getting pushed around. So we end up fighting the steering wheel, trying to stay in our lane, or if we're going down some bumpy roads, we ended up getting jostled around. By the time where we get where we're going, we're extremely tired not to mention everybody in the back's getting tossed around. It's just not that enjoyable. more

Jake: Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install Sumo Springs on our 2017 Georgetown XL by Forest River. Now these Sumo Springs are going to help to give you a little bit more comfortable ride. It's not going to add any weight capacity to your suspension on your RV, but when you're on the highway and you're getting a little bit of body roll maybe from the wind or from changing lanes, these Sumo Springs are going to help to take that away, and give you a more comfortable ride.This is what our Sumo Springs are going to look like when they're installed. They're going to bolt to the leaf springs of our RV, and they're going to bolt to the chassis of our RV. Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 forest river FR3 motor home, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the supersprings sumosprings rebel custom helper springs for the front axle, part number sss-170-40-2.Owning an RV can be great. We can go around the country seeing places we haven't been before or take a vacation with our family, but there's one thing that nobody seems to talk about when we first get our RV, the ride is going to be very uncomfortable. It may seem a little bit unstable, whether we're driving down the highway and we catch a large crosswind and let's face it, we're driving a large box on wheels. It's going to catch a lot of air or simply just going around a corner and the body's going to lean and roll quite a bit. Well our helper springs are going to help a lot of that out. They're going to make sure that the body doesn't roll as much and it's going to keep it more stable, making it so we can be more confident, have a comfortable ride getting down the road.So here's what our helper springs look like once we have them installed. more
